Every company as incomes increase. Successful law firms can do this, so good. It is an amazingly simple way. It is so easy, it is quite often overlooked.
This simple step involves planning the future for the customers. Planning? That sounds like work. Well, in addition to helping their clients in legal matters, the idea is, for a fee, right? A law firm is a business after all. How can lawyers for their dinner-dance without a bead of sweat?
Did I mention that this is a really simple step? I do not think I mentioned that clients really appreciate this step.
Upon completion of the treatment is a legal matter for a client, write them a thank you letter. We thank them for that, they support. Tell them you would like to help in the future, should your services are needed.
Well, here is the really simple thing. In the Thank You letter, list specific legal areas in which you are able to help them. The listed areas of the service so far made, or can be neatly tied in a similar direction. For example, a client whose divorce is final may not have realized it will need a new will prepared. Offer your company for real estate, including a power of attorney and living will.
If a client is mentioned in passing that they are interested in establishing a company to remember that your office can use that new business. Or you say, they stand to answer any questions they can about the tax law.
If the customer is a business owner, remember that your contact details (or your company) can also help them with personal and legal issues.
Only a few thoughtful sentences in a letter yield more income. I will in a way this step can be even easier - your paralegal, legal assistant or legal secretary, responsible for the Thank You letters. It could not be simpler than that, and you have paved the way for more income.
