• Three partners of a law firm flew out of town attending a convention. Middle of the journey, one of the partners as to the second partner," Oh no, I forgot to lock the office safe. "The third partner quickly responded: "Do not worry, all three of us are here."
• Question - "What's wrong with telling a lawyer joke"? Answer - "Lawyers do not think it funny and nobody else thinks they are jokes."
• Question - "What do honest lawyers and UFOs have in common? Answer - "You are always on the heat, but no one has ever seen."
Chances are you have many jokes about lawyers, and some are really funny! However, while some may be taken lightly, others are almost gruesome. The love / hate relationship between lawyers and clients has been a long time. Unfortunately, some prosecutors probably have earned a joke about them, but most are good, honest and respectable people who try hard to make a difference in a person's life and society.
While there are a number of negative perceptions associated with lawyers, which seems to hang, is actually something wrong. A large part of the public believes that all attorneys clients squeeze dry, be levied for every dime spent, often in connection with foreign litigation. Believe it or not, are the industry standards and guidelines state bar, as lawyers free of charge and paid for. The best way to avoid surprises at settlement is to be agreed in advance, how and what you pay, and expected schedules and results.
The media play a large role in our whole perception of lawyers from reports by the Lawyers Attorneys (fictional and reality). If you have to turn on all the major news channel, the majority of the questions, reported the attorneys as to whether or not they are often negative. We do not hear news about attorneys, their work, but we hear from the isolated case of bad behavior. Therefore, the public assumes that a story in connection with a crooked lawyer represents all lawyers, which is simply not the case.
We also have the impression that many lawyers are hard nose sharks. We love to hate this kind of lawyer, but it is also precisely the kind of representation we want on our side of the negotiating table! In a recent example of Nancy Grace accused the mother of the child holding back the missing information. The mother committed suicide shortly after the hard interview the family and take part blame Grace. While Grace has doggedly tried to the truth, it is unlikely that they decided lack of compassion caused the death of the woman. The audience was appalled by the behavior, and yet, if you need legal representation, would you want someone unsympathetic to the other side? Someone who aggressively pursue justice in your name?
